At 84 Alpacas Fiber Mill our pricing is simple, clear, and based only on the finished weight of your product. Prices include tumbling, washing, picking and carding. From there, finishing costs are listed below.
Rovings
For hand-spinning, rovings are sent through the pindrafter for refinement.

Carded fiber sent to you in a sheet approximately 24 x 48 inches.

Single-strand yarn spun around a cotton core; used in weaving and "giant" knitting or crochet.

What to Make From What You Have
Firsts - blankets - are really the best way to go for yarn.
Seconds - meaning necks and rumps - batts, felt, or rug yarn.
Thirds? Toss them. After being knelt on all winter, even the alpacas don't want them anymore.
Fiber Blending
To add other fiber to your order - Tencel, Merino,
Bamboo or Nylon - add $2.50 / ounce. For silk, please call for price. Supply your own, and we'll blend it free of charge.
